Translation
The rendering of something written in one language into another language
Translation services are available on a first-come, first-served basis depending on resources available. Due to the high volume of requests, it is extremely important that you plan ahead and notify us immediately regarding your translation needs. The Translations Unit offers translations services, although limited, in the following in-house languages:
Armenian, Chinese, English, Korean and Spanish
In order to receive translation services please complete the Translation Request Form and submit it along with an electronic file of the document you desire to have translated. Once the document(s) have been submitted you may call or e-mail us to confirm receipt of your request. We will contact you if any further information or instructions are necessary.
Documents Not Translated
Due to the high volume of requests and limited resources, the Translations Unit does not translate the following documents:
Birth Certificates, Passports, Medical Documents, Certificates, Diplomas, Transcripts, Report Cards, Publications, Articles, Poems, Song Lyrics, Stories, Exercises.
Please note that due to liability concerns, the Translations Unit does not provide editing or proofreading services for documents that were translated outside of the Translations Unit.
Electronic Archive and Delivery
All translations are archived electronically and by project numbers
for fast, cost-effective updating and consistency from project to project.
Please make a note of the project number assigned to your translation
so that you can reference it in the future. If you make revisions to
text that has previously been translated, please identify the areas
that have been changed in the original source language and we will
update the translation accordingly.
All translations can be delivered to you via e-mail for instant delivery.
Depending on the requested language, your translation could be in Microsoft
Word or any other mainstream word processor or desktop publishing software.
Some languages may require that the translated files be delivered to
you as a PDF file, thus requiring Adobe Acrobat software. Please note
that the Translations Unit is not responsible for the quality and accuracy
of the translation if it is altered in any manner after delivery without
the prior approval of the Translations Unit.
